Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents per care plans and physician orders within a long-term care setting.
- Administer prescribed medications and document administrations in the medical record per facility policy.
- Monitor residents’ conditions, perform routine assessments, and communicate changes to the supervising RN or physician.
- Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, and safety to support residents’ well-being and independence.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure quality of care, infection prevention, and regulatory compliance.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico.
- Relevant experience in long-term care or skilled nursing preferred.
- Ability to work 3x12-hour day shifts (06:00–18:30) for a 13-week assignment.
- Proficiency in medication administration, documentation, and care planning.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills; able to collaborate within a multidisciplinary care team.
