Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Room (ER) is available for a travel temporary assignment in a hospital setting in Plattsburgh, NY. The start date is 07/13/2026, for a 16-week assignment. Weekly pay ranges from $2,367 to $2,610 per week. The shift is 3x12 nights. This assignment is managed by Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Provide urgent and high-quality emergency nursing care for adult and pediatric patients in the ER, including rapid assessment, triage, and continuous monitoring.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, wound care, and support procedures per established protocols; document interventions in the electronic medical record (Epic or equivalent).
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and the multidisciplinary team to develop and implement patient care plans; participate in shift handoffs and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Monitor patient status, interpret vital signs, apply NIHSS scoring when indicated, and perform emergency interventions per ACLS/TNCC guidelines; assist with airway management and code response as needed.
- Prioritize patient safety and comfort, ensure infection control practices, and provide patient/family education regarding care plans and procedures.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation, ensure compliance with unit policies, and participate in unit-based quality improvement efforts.
Requirements
- NY Registered Nurse license or active license with documented application and applied date; ability to obtain NY licensure within 6–8 weeks as start dates allow.
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS or ENPC (equivalency acceptable), NIHSS, TNCC (active or proof of class prior to start) required.
- Epic experience within the past 2 years is required.
- Minimum 1 year of ER specialty experience; charge nurse experience preferred.
- Education: Graduation from an accredited nursing program; current NY RN licensure.
- Prior travel experience preferred.
- Ability to work in a high-volume ER environment and to sustain a 3x12 night schedule.
