Responsibilities
- Perform radiographic examinations according to physician orders, selecting appropriate imaging techniques.
- Properly position patients and adjust exposure settings to optimize image quality while protecting patient safety.
- Verify patient identity and safety, apply shielding, and ensure adherence to ALARA principles.
- Acquire, label, and transfer radiographic images to the integrated imaging system with accurate documentation.
- Maintain equipment readiness, troubleshoot basic imaging equipment, and participate in routine quality assurance activities.
- Collaborate with radiology team members, document procedures, and support patient comfort and care during procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technologist program
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologists – Radiography (R) certification (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (may be obtained upon hire)
- Bilingual in Spanish preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital imaging department and participate in rotating day shifts
