Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
ER Registered Nurse travel assignment in Utica, NY. Start date July 20, 2026 for a 13-week engagement at a hospital-based Emergency Department. Responsibilities
- Deliver high-acuity emergency care to a diverse patient population (neonates to seniors) including stroke, sepsis, trauma, MI, and respiratory failure
- Perform triage, initial assessment, ongoing monitoring, and timely intervention within ED protocols
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and complex drips per physician orders and standing protocols; manage emergent pharmacologic therapies
- Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff; communicate changes in patient status and plan of care
- Document accurately in the electronic medical record (EPIC); ensure compliance with documentation standards and quality metrics
- Respond to acute events (codes/rapid response) following ACLS/BLS guidelines; coordinate patient transport and disposition
Requirements
- Active New York RN license (NURSYS verification required)
- 2+ years ED experience; pediatrics exposure preferred; travel experience documented
- Current certifications: AHA ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC
- EMR experience required: EPIC
- Valid driver’s license with address matching demographics; ability to work in an ED and float to other areas as needed
- Submission must include RTO requests; local candidates within approximately 75 miles are preferred
