Responsibilities
- Deliver direct nursing care to pediatric patients with congenital or acquired cardiac conditions in the PICU, including monitoring, medication administration, and management of telemetry and invasive devices.
- Assess patient status, interpret vital signs and clinical data, respond to changes, and collaborate with the care team to adjust plans of care.
- Support complex medical/surgical interventions, assist with bedside procedures, and ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety standards.
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (cardiology, anesthesia, respiratory therapy, social work) to plan and execute comprehensive care plans; document findings and care updates timely.
- Provide family education, discharge planning, and transition support, addressing questions and coordinating follow-up care as appropriate.

Requirements
- Current New York State Registered Nurse license
- Minimum 2 years of nursing experience
- Pediatric Cardiac Care experience required (PICU preferred)
- Telemetry experience required
- Certifications: BLS, PALS, ACLS, NIHSS (American Heart Association)
- Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts (D/E/N) and on-call/callback as required by unit needs
