MRI Technologist – MRI (MR) focused travel assignment, Olympia, Washington, US. Start date: May 4, 2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $1,910 to $2,053. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 3x12 nights, 19:00–07:30. Setting: hospital-based diagnostic imaging department supporting adult and geriatric inpatients and outpatients. Employment type: Travel - Temporary Assignment. Responsibilities
- Perform MRI examinations for adult and geriatric inpatients and outpatients, including neuro and body imaging
- Administer contrast and start peripheral IVs as needed; monitor patients and manage mild contrast-related reactions
- Conduct quality control tasks and ensure equipment performance aligns with ACR imaging and safety guidelines
- Manage scheduling, coordinate with radiologists, and assist during MRI procedures; operate and maintain MR and related equipment; participate in PACS workflow and image post-processing
- Ensure patient safety through proper screening, safety protocols, and adherence to departmental policies; document procedures in the electronic charting system (EPIC)
Requirements
- Licenses and certifications: Washington state license in radiologic technology; ARRT (R); ARRT MR; BLS
- Experience: Minimum 1 year MRI experience required; first-timers accepted
- Education: Not specified; completion of an accredited MRI technologist program compatible with ARRT MR credentials
- Skills: Ability to perform MRI procedures, including contrast administration and peripheral IV starts; comfort with adult/geriatric inpatient and outpatient populations
- Logistics: Must be able to work the 19:00–07:30 night shift; local residents within 50 miles are not eligible for a travel contract
