Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients on mixed MS/Tele units.
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, administer medications, manage IV therapies, and respond to evolving patient conditions.
- Document assessments, plan of care, therapies, and progress in the Cerner electronic health record.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to coordinate admissions, discharges, and patient education.
- Uphold safety, infection prevention, and quality improvement standards; respond appropriately to emergencies.
- Support unit operations during night shifts and contribute to patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- Valid Registered Nurse license in California.
- BLS and ACLS certifications required.
- Cerner electronic health record experience required.
- Telemetry/Med-Surg nursing experience; two years of experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to work a 3x12 night shift in a Short Term Acute Care Hospital setting.
- Strong clinical assessment skills and ability to work effectively in a mixed MS/Tele unit.
