Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care for adult medical-surgical and telemetry patients according to unit protocols and physician orders
- Perform comprehensive assessments, monitor vital signs, and recognize changes in patient condition; respond per protocol
- Administer medications and IV therapies; monitor for adverse reactions and document appropriately
- Monitor cardiac telemetry, identify rhythm changes, and escalate to the team as needed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to update care plans, coordinate care, and support timely patient discharge and education
- Document nursing care and interventions accurately in the electronic medical record; ensure patient safety and quality standards
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse license in Massachusetts
- ACLS and BLS certifications
- 2+ years of Med Surg and/or Telemetry experience
- Education: graduate of an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Ability to work the listed shift in a hospital setting; willingness to participate in the assigned travel assignment
