Responsibilities
- Provide Med-Surg nursing care to adult patients, including assessment, monitoring, and regular re-evaluation of care plans.
- Administer medications, perform IV therapy and procedures per physician orders, and document care in the designated EMR system.
- Monitor patient status, respond to calls, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure patient safety and timely interventions.
- Support discharge planning and patient/family education, coordinating with case management as needed.
- Maintain accurate nursing notes, manage lines and devices, and uphold infection control and safety standards.
- May be required to float to additional facilities within the region to support unit staffing needs.
Requirements
- Active RN license in New Hampshire or a compact state; NH licensure required at submission; NURSYS license verification for active licenses.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- Minimum 1 year Med-Surg Acute Care travel experience; 2+ years of Med-Surg experience overall preferred.
- EMR experience preferred: Cerner; not required.
- RTO (time off) must be included at submission.
- Locals welcome; local rate.
- Ability to work in a hospital setting; flexible to float to other NH facilities as needed.
