Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the clinic setting, including triage, vitals, and routine assessments
- Assist providers with examinations, procedures, injections, wound care, and medication administration as ordered
- Prepare exam rooms, collect specimens, and manage clinic flow to support efficient operations
- Document patient encounters accurately in the medical record and ensure patient privacy and safety
- Collaborate with the health care team to coordinate care, follow clinic protocols, and uphold infection control standards
Requirements
- Current Iowa RN license (active)
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- BCLS (Basic Cardiovascular Life Support) certification required
- Experience in a physician’s office or clinic setting is preferred
- Ability to perform clinic-based nursing duties within the scope of practice defined by the Iowa State Board of Nursing
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team
