Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
RN - ER (Night Shift) in a Critical Access Hospital setting located in Fairfield, Iowa, United States. This travel assignment starts 04/13/2026 and runs for 13 weeks with guaranteed 36 hours per week. Responsibilities
- Plan and provide total patient care using the nursing process across assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders; monitor responses and adjust care as needed
- Assess changes in patient condition, escalate as appropriate, and document findings clearly
- Direct and guide patient teaching, and coordinate activities of ancillary personnel while maintaining standards of professional nursing
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, evidence-based care and participate in discharge planning and patient education
- Maintain clinical competency and adherence to hospital policies and professional standards, including ongoing assessment of patient safety
Requirements
- Current Iowa RN license
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and TNCC required
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- ER/acute care experience preferred, but not required
- Ability to work in a high-acuity ER environment within a Critical Access Hospital setting
- Availability for rotating 3x12-hour night shifts, including holidays and weekends
Education
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
