Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for ICU patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Supervise and direct the activities of nursing staff at multiple levels; coordinate care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment.
- Collect relevant data, assess patients, identify diagnoses and care issues, and develop and implement care plans.
- Collaborate with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, healing, and compassionate care; educate patients and families as appropriate.
- Participate in discharge planning and ensure continuity of care; delegate tasks and coordinate duties of the healthcare team; contribute to a safe and healthy environment.
Requirements
- Licensure: Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice (California)
- Education: BSN preferred
- Experience: At least two years of recent acute care or ICU nursing experience
- Certifications: Current BLS (CPR) and ACLS certification required
- EMR: EPIC experience required
- Additional: Ability to work night shift and in a hospital setting
