Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an assigned patient group in accordance with established standards and the nursing process
- Collect relevant data, assess patient health status, and analyze information to identify care needs and diagnoses
- Develop, implement, and evaluate a comprehensive care plan; coordinate care delivery and promote patient safety
- Collaborate with the patient, family, and multidisciplinary care team; delegate appropriately and supervise staff as needed
- Participate in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care and patient education
- Provide learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members; communicate health information clearly to treatment teams
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in California
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS)/Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification from an approved vendor
- BSN preferred; consider candidates with relevant experience who meet other requirements
- At least two years of recent experience in the field, with strong Med Surg exposure
- EPIC and Cerner experience required for backfill assignments
- Ability to work in a fast-paced acute care setting and to meet organizational vaccination and compliance requirements; E-Verify participation may be required
