Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or assigned group of patients according to established standards of care and the nursing process
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process
- Monitor patient status, administer medications per protocol, and respond to changes in clinical condition
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff; delegate tasks appropriately
- Coordinate care with other disciplines to ensure safe, efficient, and continuous patient care
- Document thoroughly, communicate clearly with the care team, and uphold patient safety and regulatory standards
Requirements
- Active registered nurse license in California
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program (RN)
- Relevant experience in telemetry or a monitored acute care setting preferred
- Ability to work night shift in a hospital telemetry environment
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Willingness to participate in a 13-week travel assignment
