Responsibilities
- Conduct initial and ongoing occupational therapy evaluations to assess residents’ functional abilities and daily living skills.
- Develop, implement, and adjust individualized treatment plans to improve independence in ADLs and functional mobility.
- Deliver direct OT services through one-on-one and small-group therapy sessions within the skilled nursing setting.
- Document treatment plans, progress notes, goals, and discharge planning in a timely, compliant manner.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to coordinate care, participate in care conferences, and support safe transitions of care.
- Educate residents and families on home exercise programs, activity strategies, fall prevention, and safety in daily activities.
Requirements
- Active Montana Occupational Therapy license to practice.
- Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program (Bachelor’s or Master’s level).
- Experience in acute care or skilled nursing settings is preferred.
- Ability to work the day shift and participate in a 13-week travel assignment with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
- Strong clinical documentation and communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
