Registered Nurse – Med Surg Tele, Springfield, Vermont. This travel assignment in an inpatient hospital setting begins on 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks, with a guaranteed 36 hours per week and a day shift (7:00 AM–7:30 PM). The unit operates as an Adaptive Acuity Unit; on occasion, travelers may be asked to provide PCU care (3:1 patient ratio). Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adults in Med Surg Tele/PCU within defined scope and unit protocols
- Monitor patient status, administer medications, including IV drips (insulin, emolol, sodium drips), and adjust care as directed
- Perform timely assessments, document findings, monitor telemetry, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to optimize outcomes
- Float to other inpatient units within scope as needed while maintaining patient safety and quality standards
- Educate patients and families on care plans, discharge instructions, and symptom monitoring; report changes promptly
Requirements
- Vermont RN license or Compact license (active) – must be uploaded
- BLS (American Heart Association) and ACLS (American Heart Association) certifications – active
- 2+ years of current Med Surg/Tele experience
- Strong PCU/adaptive acuity unit experience; drip experience required (insulin, emolol, sodium)
- Minimum 3 months of prior travel experience
- Must have own vehicle; permanent address provided in profile
- Willingness to float to other inpatient units within scope of practice
