Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care to patients in emergency, intensive care, and other clinical areas
- Deliver therapeutic treatments, invasive and non-invasive monitoring, and diagnostic testing for pulmonary and cardiopulmonary disorders
- Manage and monitor ventilators and other respiratory support equipment
- Perform EKG monitoring and assist with related assessments
- Participate in quality assurance and performance improvement activities
- Educate patients and families on respiratory care plans and equipment usage
- Document care actions and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Requirements
- Active Michigan license as a Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT)
- 2+ years of RRT experience (required)
- Comfortable with ventilators and EKG monitoring (required)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS (AHA), NBRC
- Ability to work in a hospital setting on a travel assignment
- Travel-ready and able to work a 3x12 night schedule, including every-other-weekend rotation
