Travel Registered Nurse PCU Job
Registered Nurse, PCU/IMCU — Utica, New York. Travel - Temporary Assignment. Start date: May 25, 2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $2,287–$2,297 per week. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 6:30 AM–7:00 PM (block scheduling; floating to other units as needed). Setting: inpatient unit with 64 beds, including 15 designated Neuro beds.

Responsibilities
- Provide skilled RN care to adults in the IMCU/PCU, focusing on neuro, cardiac, trauma, and post-op patients.
- Monitor patient status, perform frequent assessments, administer medications, and implement care plans per protocol.
- Utilize specialty equipment and support devices as needed, including temp pacers, chest tubes, arterial lines (A-lines), and BiPAP; coordinate with Respiratory Therapy for vent management and weaning.
- Manage patients on chronic ventilation as required and document all care in the EMR (EPIC).
- Float to other units as assigned to support patient census and acuity; ensure patient safety, effective communication, and family education as appropriate.
- Maintain unit standards, infection control practices, and adherence to policies while collaborating with the multidisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Active New York RN license; NURSYS license verification required; license verification for all RN licenses as applicable.
- 2+ years of current experience in IMCU/PCU or equivalent acute care setting.
- Certifications: current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- EMR experience required: EPIC.
- Ability to work in an IMCU/PCU with adult patients (18+ years) and to float as needed.
- RTO (time off) requests must be included at time of submission.
- Shift requires availability for 6:30 AM–7:00 PM blocks; flexibility for occasional schedule adjustments may be required.
