Responsibilities
- Perform pediatric cardiovascular ultrasound exams, including echocardiography, using appropriate imaging protocols and equipment.
- Obtain high-quality images and measurements, document findings, and collaborate with cardiology leadership to ensure accurate interpretation within scope of credentials.
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and comfort during imaging procedures; position patients and manage procedural coordination.
- Communicate imaging results clearly to the supervising physician and support staff; assist with preliminary reporting as permitted by credentialing.
- Provide coverage as needed for day shifts with on-call duties, adapting to a pediatric-focused workflow and on-site policies.
- Adhere to AH policy and credentialing requirements for pediatric cardiovascular imaging, including fetal and/ or neonatal studies as applicable.
Requirements
- Pediatric cardiovascular sonography credentials: RDCS or CCI-RCS required.
- Vascular credentials: RVT or CCI-RVS required.
- Certification in pediatric echocardiography: ARDMS-PE or CCI RCCS required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AH policy-compliant: BLS, HS-BLS, or RQIBLS) required.
- Experience in pediatric cardiovascular echocardiography (as reflected by the role) required.
- Ability to work in a high-volume, pediatric-focused imaging environment and to participate in on-call coverage as needed.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and ability to travel for assignment.
