The role is based in a 315-bed community setting with adult critical care and Emergency Department responsibilities, rotating between acute and LTAC environments.

Responsibilities
- Provide respiratory care in adult critical care and ED, with rotation between acute and LTAC settings; manage diverse patient populations
- Ventilator management (BiPAP/CPAP, HFNC), troubleshooting, and weaning as appropriate
- Airway support duties including intubation assist, extubation, trach care and suctioning, and airway clearance
- ABG sampling, analysis, and interpretation; pulmonary hygiene and nebulizer therapy; suctioning and bag-mask ventilation as needed
- Operate and monitor standard equipment (e.g., Hamilton & Servo-U ventilators, V30 series NIV, AIRVO2, Dream Machines) and implement prescribed therapies
- Document care in EPIC; collaborate with RT, IV team, PT, phlebotomy, radiology, pharmacy, social work, and rapid response teams

Requirements
- NY state nursing license required in hand to submit
- Minimum 1 year of clinical respiratory therapy experience; charge experience preferred
- BLS certification; RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist) credential required
- EPIC charting experience required
- Ability to float between acute and LTAC units and manage patients with a 1:20 ratio or similar acuity
- Strong assessment, ventilation management, and airway support skills; effective interdisciplinary collaboration
