Travel Ultrasound Technologist in Radiology, Plattsburgh, NY. Start date: April 20, 2026. Duration: 16 weeks. Weekly pay range: $3,012–$3,113 per week. Guaranteed hours: not guaranteed. Shift: 5x8 rotating (days/evenings). Setting: hospital-based travel assignment.

Responsibilities
- Perform ultrasound examinations using GE Logiq 9; optimize imaging and ensure high-quality studies for interpretation.
- Position patients, explain procedures, and maintain patient safety and comfort throughout exams.
- Acquire and document ultrasound images across applicable modalities (e.g., abdominal, pelvic, OB, vascular) and ensure proper labeling and measurements in PACS.
- Operate ultrasound equipment, adjust settings, and troubleshoot to maintain image quality; participate in ongoing quality control as directed.
- Collaborate with radiologists and health care teams; communicate findings per site protocol and escalate urgent findings as appropriate.
- Document in EPIC EMR within the past two years; ensure accurate patient data and study details are entered.
- Be prepared to float to imaging sites as needed and provide weekend and on-call coverage as part of the rotating schedule.
- Maintain compliance with infection control, patient privacy (HIPAA), and department policies.
Requirements
- ARDMS (AB and/or OB) required
- BLS certification required
- Ultrasound Tech Certification Verification (Equivalency) required
- EPIC experience within the past 2 years required
- Prior travel experience preferred
- Ability to work a weekend and on-call rotating schedule
- Ability to float to imaging sites as needed
- Must be able to work in a hospital setting and follow department protocols
