Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting under supervision of a registered nurse or charge nurse.
- Administer prescribed medications and treatments per facility policy and state regulations; document administration accurately.
- Monitor residents’ health status, perform routine assessments, record vital signs, and promptly report changes to the supervising nurse.
- Assist with activities of daily living, mobility, hygiene, and safety; perform basic wound care as ordered.
- Maintain accurate documentation in resident records; uphold infection control practices and resident privacy standards; participate in care planning with the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (or eligibility as allowed by state regulations).
- Prior experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred.
- Ability to work night shifts (18:00–06:30) and perform 12-hour shifts.
- CPR/BLS certification (or as required by the employer) and ability to meet facility policies.
- Eligibility to work in the United States; ability to fulfill a local-only assignment in the listed location.
