Mammography Technologist (Travel) — Kansas City, KS. This travel assignment starts 06/07/2026 for 13 weeks in a hospital imaging department. Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammography examinations with attention to image quality, patient safety, and workflow efficiency.
- Position patients for prone and upright procedures; assist with complex interventional work including breast biopsies, localizations, and contrast-enhanced mammography as needed.
- Operate mammography equipment (notably systems such as Hologic Dimensions) and coordinate with radiologists to meet diagnostic goals.
- Maintain accurate patient data and images in the EMR (EPIC experience preferred) and ensure proper labeling and archiving.
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols, perform routine QC checks, and support high-volume imaging in a fast-paced setting.
- Provide patient education and compassionate care, while collaborating with the imaging team to optimize throughput.
Requirements
- Active ARRT licenses: Radiography (R) and Mammography (M)
- Kansas Board of Healing Arts license in hand at submission
- BLS certification
- Minimum 2 years of recent hospital-based mammography experience
- Demonstrated ability to work independently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
- EPIC EMR experience preferred
- Experience with advanced breast imaging procedures and equipment (e.g., Hologic Dimensions) is preferred
