- Provide direct patient care for high-acuity ICU patients, including monitoring vitals, assessing status, and adjusting care plans as ordered
- Administer medications, manage lines and tubes, and operate ICU equipment per protocol
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other members of the critical care team to coordinate care
- Perform timely and accurate documentation of patient assessments, interventions, and responses to treatment
- Respond to alarms and emergencies, initiate rapid response when required, and ensure patient safety and comfort
- Conduct ongoing neurological assessments as indicated and participate in handoffs during shift changes
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Ability to work in an ICU-focused environment with high-acuity patients
- Travel assignment availability for a 13-week contract with guaranteed hours
- No local candidates within 50 miles
- Commitment to adhering to unit policies, patient safety standards, and holiday coverage requirements
