Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult patients in the PCU/IMCU, including assessment, monitoring, and escalation of changes in condition
- Administer medications and IV therapies, including heparin drips, per physician orders and unit protocols
- Monitor vital signs, lab results, and hemodynamic status; respond promptly to clinical changes
- Collaborate with physicians, case management, and other disciplines to develop and update individualized care plans
- Document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes accurately in the electronic health record
- Ensure patient and family education, safety, infection control, and discharge planning readiness
Requirements
- Active Georgia RN license
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of PCU/IMCU or inpatient acute care experience
- Ability to work in a high-acuity inpatient setting with complex patient needs
- Strong critical thinking, communication, and teamwork skills
- Availability for a travel assignment with a 2x4 Days shift pattern
Education
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ASN, BSN, or Diploma)
- Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in Georgia
Certifications
- BLS
- ACLS
