Responsibilities
- Implement therapy interventions under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist according to the plan of care.
- Conduct therapy sessions and therapeutic activities to improve functional mobility, strength, balance, and Activities of Daily Living (ADLs).
- Document patient progress, goals, and outcomes in the medical record; communicate updates to the supervising OT and care team.
- Assist with the setup and use of therapy equipment, transfer assistance, and safe patient handling.
- Maintain a clean, organized therapy space; ensure adherence to infection control and safety protocols.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support discharge planning and ongoing patient goals.
Requirements
- Current Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) credential or eligibility per state requirements.
- Ability to work in a Skilled Nursing Facility environment.
- Availability to start on or around 04/27/2026 and complete a 13-week assignment.
- Willingness to travel for a travel assignment.
- Strong communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to adhere to the scheduled shift (8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.) and maintain 35 hours per week.
