Registered Nurse – Operating Room (Travel) focused on perioperative care in a high-volume surgical program in Kansas City, KS. Start date: 08/30/2026. Duration: 13 contract weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,057 to $2,235 per week. Guaranteed hours: 0.0. Shift: 3x12 Nights (1830-0630). This assignment supports OR cases across ENT, neuro, and surgical oncology specialties in a 12-hour night shift setting.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct perioperative nursing care for diverse OR cases, maintaining patient safety and comfort
- Prepare the sterile field, assist with anesthesia as needed, monitor vital signs, and manage airway during procedures
- Support surgical teams with instrument handling, positioning, draping, suction, and equipment setup
- Maintain sterile technique, document intraoperative events, and ensure accurate ETC/EPIC entries
- Support ENT (trach/airways, head/neck flaps, ears, soft tissue), Neuro (burr holes, craniotomy), and surgical oncology robotics cases as assigned
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and circulators; participate in case flow, patient handoffs, and post-anesthesia care planning
- Adhere to established policies, safety protocols, and infection prevention standards; complete required credentialing and orientation milestones
Requirements
- Current RN license in Kansas or a valid Compact/ multi-state license
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (AHA)
- Proficiency in ENT (trach/airways, head/neck flaps, ears, soft tissue), Neuro (burr holes, craniotomy), or robotic surgical oncology OR cases
- OR nursing experience in a fast-paced setting; ability to work 3x12 night shifts
- Floating: ability to float to all ORs as needed
- Orientation completion prior to assignment start; ability to meet credentialing deadlines
- Education: RN program completion required
