Responsibilities
- Perform interventional radiology procedures under radiologist supervision; prepare the patient and assist with sterile technique and scrubbing.
- Operate and troubleshoot imaging equipment in the IR suite; ensure image quality and patient safety during procedures.
- Verify patient identity, consent, and charting; document procedures and charges accurately.
- Monitor patient status during and after interventions; manage post-procedure recovery as assigned.
- Maintain sterile field, handle instrumentation, and assist with device exchange and catheter placements.
- Collaborate with team across the IR unit and related services; adhere to the unit’s workflow and fast-paced schedule.
- May float to related IR locations within the hospital as needed; support 7-room IR operations and high patient volume.

Requirements
- Licenses and Certifications: ARRT Radiography (in hand); Kansas State Board of Healing Arts license (can apply upon offer; KS lic may be pending at start)
- Certifications: AHA BLS
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of interventional radiology experience; scrub experience required; 3 years IR experience and large-hospital background preferred
- Education: Radiologic technology education aligned with ARRT requirements (not specified in this posting beyond ARRT/KS lic)
- Skills: Ability to work in a fast-paced IR environment; comfortable with 10-hour shifts; effective in sterile technique and patient care
- Additional: Willingness to work in a hospital IR setting with occasional float to related IR units; able to comply with orientation and credentialing timelines
