Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to adult, adolescent, and geriatric patients with medical conditions, including oncology diagnoses, within a med/surg unit
- Assess patient and family needs, develop an individualized plan of care in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, and monitor progress toward established goals
- Administer medications and treatments per policy; observe for adverse reactions and respond to changes in condition
- Educate patients and families to support self-care after discharge, document education provided, and arrange appropriate follow-up and resources
- Ensure infection prevention, patient safety, and high-quality nursing care; maintain accurate and timely documentation; participate in quality improvement activities
- Communicate effectively with physicians and team members, coordinate care transitions, and provide emotional support within a healing environment

Requirements
- Current NYS Registered Nurse licensure (active)
- BLS, ACLS (AHA), and NIHSS certification
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a Med/Surg setting
- Ability to work 3x12-hour shifts with day/night variability and to participate in on-call shifts
- Must be capable of providing care in a medical-surgical oncology environment and collaborating with an interdisciplinary team
