Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in a Trauma ICU with a patient population requiring complex monitoring and rapid response.
- Monitor hemodynamic status, administer and titrate prescribed drips and medications (including Cardizem, Heparin, Lasix, Amiodarone, Cardene, Cleviprex, Levophed, Insulin, Dopamine, Nitro) per physician orders; document responses in Epic.
- Manage airways, vent settings, and other critical care interventions as appropriate; adhere to a 2:1 patient-to-nurse ratio.
- Perform ongoing assessments, implement care plans, respond to emergencies, and collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and the broader care team.
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the EMR and ensure adherence to unit protocols and hospital policies.
- Float to other campuses within the defined radius as needed and maintain competency across units while supporting unit coverage.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Florida
- 2 years of Trauma ICU experience
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
- Degree accreditation must be on profile or 5 years of ICU/Trauma ICU experience
- Epic EMR experience
- Ability to float to other campuses within a 50-mile radius
- Prior travel experience preferred
