Responsibilities
- Provide patient care under the supervision of a licensed PT, executing components of the treatment plan.
- Lead and assist with therapeutic exercises, gait training, ROM, strength, balance, and functional activities.
- Administer modalities and assistive devices as trained, while maintaining patient safety and infection control protocols.
- Monitor patient progress, document responses to interventions, and communicate changes to the physical therapy team.
- Prepare treatment environments and equipment, ensure safety, and support discharge planning across the interdisciplinary team.
Requirements
- Licensure: State-specific Physical Therapy Assistant license; specifics governed by Job Notes and assignment location.
- Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program.
- Experience: LTAC or long-term care experience preferred.
- Availability: Ability to work the specified shift (08:00–16:30) on a 5x8 schedule.
- Travel eligibility: Able to participate in a travel assignment as described.
