Responsibilities
- Administer medications and perform clinical tasks within the scope of practice, following the plan of care.
- Monitor residents’ conditions, document assessments and changes, and communicate updates to the supervising nurse.
- Provide direct patient care including activities of daily living, wound care, and routine nursing procedures.
- Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges, ensuring continuity of care and proper handoffs.
- Maintain accurate records, uphold safety and infection control standards, and support the care team in care planning.
Requirements
- Active Licensed Practical Nurse license in New Mexico (or eligibility to obtain)
- Diploma from an approved practical nursing program
- Current CPR certification
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting preferred
- Ability to work a 12-hour shift schedule and adapt to a travel assignment
- Strong communication, documentation, and teamwork skills
