Registered Nurse – Electrophysiology (EP) travel assignment in Trenton, New Jersey. Start date 05/25/2026 for 8 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,809 per week to $2,935 per week. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: Day shift, four 10-hour days (7:00am–5:30pm). Responsibilities
- Conduct pre-procedure assessments and post-procedure care for patients undergoing electrophysiology studies and related heart procedures.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for adverse effects, ensuring patient safety throughout the peri-procedural period.
- Monitor vital signs, telemetry, and hemodynamic status during diagnostic and interventional EP procedures.
- Assist electrophysiologists during mapping of cardiac rhythms, pacing, and other EP interventions; maintain sterile technique and assist with equipment as needed.
- Document all care and procedures in the Cerner EMR system; communicate findings with the EP team and coordinate handoffs to post-procedure units.
- Provide patient education, discharge instructions, and respond to changes in patient condition with appropriate clinical escalation.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of electrophysiology nursing experience.
- Proficiency with Cerner EMR or similar electronic medical record systems.
- Flu vaccine required; no declinations or exceptions accepted.
- Availability for a day shift schedule (7:00am–5:30pm), four days per week (4x10s).
- No on-call, no weekend, and no holiday coverage requirements for this assignment.
- Travel nursing eligibility and ability to participate in a structured travel assignment.
