Registered Nurse - PCU (Travel) in Atlanta, Georgia. Start date June 15, 2026 for a 13-week assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,324–$2,420 per week. Guaranteed hours: 48 per week. Shift: 2x4 Nights. Work setting: hospital medical-surgical/step-down unit.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to adult patients on a PCU/step-down unit, focusing on stabilization and recovery from acute conditions.
- Monitor patient status, including vital signs and telemetry, and administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders and protocol.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to implement and adjust care plans; document assessments and interventions accurately in the electronic health record.
- Recognize and respond to changes in patient condition, escalate to the charge nurse or physician as needed, and participate in escalation protocols.
- Support discharge planning, patient education, and family communication while maintaining patient safety and infection control principles.
- Maintain appropriate nurse-to-patient ratios (1:4 on the unit) and uphold unit standards for quality of care and patient advocacy.
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience in a medical step-down/PCU or equivalent high-acuity setting.
- ACLS and BLS certifications required.
- Active RN license (state verification may be required).
- Ability to work night shifts on a 2x4 schedule in a hospital setting.
- Strong clinical assessment, telemetry interpretation, and critical-thinking skills.
- Willingness to work in a high-acuity PCU/step-down environment with adherence to unit protocols.
