Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to residents, including assessments, care planning, and ongoing evaluation of health status.
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility policies; monitor for adverse reactions.
- Lead and participate in interdisciplinary care planning with the healthcare team; communicate changes to residents and families.
- Review and ensure accurate documentation in the electronic medical record; monitor charting for quality and compliance.
- Supervise and collaborate with licensed and ancillary staff (e.g., CNAs) to deliver consistent, resident-centered care.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and therapeutic environment; respond promptly to changes in resident conditions and emergencies.
Requirements
- Current, active RN license (state licensure in Vermont or eligibility for Vermont licensure may be required).
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Nursing degree from an accredited program (ASN or BSN).
- Relevant experience in long-term care or skilled nursing settings preferred.
- Ability to perform essential nursing duties in a long-term care environment; good communication and teamwork skills; eligible to work in the United States.
