MRI Technologist – Radiology in Kansas City, KS, United States. Start date June 21, 2026 for a 13-week travel assignment in the imaging department of a healthcare imaging program. Responsibilities
- Perform MRI exams using Philips Achieva and Siemens 1.5 T Sola, integrating with Cerner, Unity PACS, and Inteview PACS.
- Screen patients for contraindications (implant devices, safety risks) and obtain any required clinical information prior to scanning.
- Position patients and coils, select appropriate sequences, and adjust parameters to optimize image quality while ensuring patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain strict adherence to imaging protocols, verify orders, communicate findings with radiologists, and document procedures in the patient record.
- Ensure equipment readiness, perform routine quality control, report malfunctions, and assist with basic maintenance as needed.
- Floats to other imaging locations within the network as required to support workflow and coverage.
Requirements
- Active ARMRIT certification or ARRT (MR) certification plus BLS.
- 1–2 years MRI technologist experience in a medical imaging department or equivalent setting.
- Minimum 1 year of travel imaging experience.
- Ability to float to additional imaging sites and operate multiple MRI platforms (e.g., Philips and Siemens) and PACS/EHR systems (Cerner, Unity PACS, Inteview PACS).
- Will attend a 2-day orientation during the first week of assignment.
