Responsibilities
- Provide RN First Assistant duties during robotic-assisted operations, in collaboration with the surgeon to support safe, efficient patient care.
- Scrub and circulate as needed when not serving in the RNFA role, maintaining perioperative standards.
- Assist with patient positioning, exposure, suction, hemostasis, and instrument handling under surgeon direction.
- Support robotic port placement, instrument setup, and management of robotic systems and supplies.
- Maintain sterile technique, validate counts, and ensure readiness of equipment and supplies for assigned cases.
- Document perioperative care, participate in safety checks, and adhere to unit policies and hospital protocols.
- Respond to on-call needs per unit scheduling (evenings up to 11 pm); no routine weekends or holidays unless required by the unit.

Requirements
- Active New York RN license
- Completion of an accredited RN First Assistant program
- CNOR certification required
- DaVinci robotics experience required (robotic surgery experience across Urology, Gynecology, Colorectal, Surgical Oncology, Thoracic, and General surgery)
- Minimum two years OR experience; Level I trauma experience preferred
- BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
- Demonstrated ability to scrub and circulate; strong perioperative nursing knowledge
- Ability to work in an operating room/perioperative setting and collaborate with surgeons and staff
