Registered Nurse, PCU | Fort Myers, Florida
Travel - Temporary Assignment beginning 01/08/2027 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $1,997-$2,197 per week; Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: 12-hour days (12x3). Setting: hospital-based Progressive Care Unit in a surgical PCU environment. This assignment requires floating to other units as needed and adherence to unit-specific protocols.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to postoperative surgical patients within the PCU, including monitoring vitals, telemetry, and ongoing assessments
- Administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders; perform wound care and routine postoperative interventions
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to update care plans, implement protocols, and assist with discharge planning
- Document care and outcomes accurately and timely in the Epic EMR; maintain compliance with unit standards and hospital policies
- Maintain patient safety and infection control practices; respond to changes in patient condition and escalate promptly
- Float to other units as needed; function as a core member of the nursing team while adapting to unit demands
Requirements
- Active RN license in Florida (or appropriate compact licensure eligibility per state requirements)
- BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certification required
- Minimum 2 years of PCU experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Degree accreditation must be on the profile or candidate must have 5 years of acute care experience
- Ability to work in a high-acuity surgical PCU setting and to float to other units as needed
- Epic EMR experience preferred
- Radius rule: must reside within 50 miles of permanent address
