Travel Radiology X-Ray Tech Job
X-Ray Technologist – Radiology, Rochester, New York, United States. Travel - temporary assignment at a hospital setting starting 04/27/2026 for 13 weeks. Weekly pay range: $2,427 to $2,557 per week. Shift: 8 hours, evenings, Sunday through Thursday, 3:30 PM to Midnight; on-call/callback and holiday coverage as needed. On-call reporting within 30 minutes is required; 2–3 on-call shifts per month. This is a travel assignment under Healthforce Healthcare LLC.

Responsibilities
- Verify patient identity and review physician orders prior to imaging
- Acquire radiographic images using X-ray equipment per orders
- Explain procedures to patients and address questions
- Properly position patients and assist with lifting/moving as needed
- Operate radiologic equipment safely, minimizing patient dose while preserving image quality
- Monitor patient status and adapt imaging to age-specific needs
- Produce diagnostic-quality images for radiologist interpretation
- Notify management of any damaged or malfunctioning equipment
- Use electronic patient information systems to verify patient data and exam details; follow dual patient identifier procedures
- Ensure accurate patient records and correct PACS transfer and labeling
Requirements
- Completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology; ARRT certification
- New York State license (or eligible to obtain prior to start date)
- 2 years of X-ray Technologist experience; Level 1 trauma center experience; OR experience
- Ability to move and lift patients; ability to stand for extended periods
- BLS certification (American Heart Association)
- Experience using c-arm/o-arm within the past 8 months
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; patient-centered, team-oriented approach
- Must be able to report within 30 minutes for on-call shifts
