Travel Registered Nurse ER Job
Registered Nurse – Emergency Department, travel assignment in Utica, NY. Start date 04/06/2026 for a 13-week engagement with guaranteed 36 hours per week, on a 2x3 Nights schedule. Weekly pay ranges from $2,215 to $2,349. Work setting is an ED in a high-acuity, 64-bed unit with triage, multiple acute tracks, trauma capabilities, CDU and psych areas; EMR is EPIC. Local rate options are available for candidates within approximately 75 miles.

Responsibilities
- Deliver direct patient care in the Emergency Department, including rapid assessment, triage, prioritization, and initial stabilization of adult, pediatric, and geriatric patients
- Administer medications, procedures, and therapies, monitor responses, and adjust plans based on patient status
- Respond to acute events (cardiac, respiratory, trauma, sepsis, stroke) and participate in code/rapid response activities as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Document care accurately and timely in the EPIC EMR; communicate clearly with physicians, nurses, and ancillary staff
- Collaborate with ED leadership, case management, and ancillary services to facilitate patient flow, disposition planning, and safety
- Rotate to appropriate ED areas as needed and adhere to unit standards, including use of specified equipment (e.g., rapid infuser, Arctic Sun) and adherence to scrub color guidelines
Requirements
- Active New York RN license; NURSYS verification of the NY license and all RN licenses
- 2+ years ED experience; some pediatric experience preferred; travel experience required
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC (TNCC must be in hand)
- EMR experience required: EPIC
- Drive license with address that matches demographics; ability to provide RTO (time off) requests at submission
- Ability to float within the ED and work nights in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment
