Registered Nurse – Med Surg (Telemetry/Stepdown-capable per unit needs) in Kodiak, Alaska. Start date: 07/20/2026. Duration: Weeks. Weekly pay: $1,841–$1,999 per week. Guaranteed hours: 60 hours per 2 weeks. Shift: 3x12 rotating. Setting: Acute care hospital unit with telemetry/stepdown capabilities.

Responsibilities
- Provide Med Surg care with telemetry/stepdown-capable capabilities as unit needs dictate
- Monitor telemetry, interpret dysrhythmias, and respond to rhythm changes
- Perform IV starts/maintenance, central line care, and administer blood products as ordered
- Adhere to heparin and IV insulin protocols; manage post-MI and CVA care
- Chest tube care (PleurEvac/Emerson), PCA administration, phlebotomy, and documentation in Epic
- Collaborate with PT, Respiratory, Pharmacy, Social Services, and Rapid Response; participate in multidisciplinary rounds
Requirements
- Alaska RN license in hand for auto-offer (pending licenses may be screened)
- Minimum 1 year RN experience; first-time travelers accepted
- BLS certification; ACLS preferred
- Epic charting experience required
- Unit-specific competencies: telemetry monitoring, IV care, central line care, blood products, and post-MI/CVA care
- Willingness to float within scope to meet facility needs; equal opportunity for all travelers
- Locals not accepted — permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility
- References: 2 references covering 1 year within the last 3 years
