Radiology Tech (Travel) – Radiology specialty, Herrin, Illinois, United States. Start date 03/30/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment. Weekly pay range: $2,318–$2,481. Guaranteed hours: 36 per week. Shift: Weekend midnights (Friday–Sunday) 1900–0730. Setting: Hospital environment. No call required; weekends are required. Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures in alignment with radiologist protocol and patient safety guidelines.
- Operate MRI and X-ray imaging equipment; position patients for optimal imaging and verify image quality.
- Check MRI schedule with Radiologist to confirm scan protocol and ensure adherence to department procedures.
- Utilize the PACS system to file, retrieve, and review imaging studies; document exam details in the patient record.
- Assist with clerical and office duties to maintain department efficiency and workflow.
- Maintain IV/contrast competency and respond to routine contrast administration needs as directed by policy.
- Work independently in the imaging area; no required on-site radiologist for certain cases; no OR or fluoroscopy procedures.
Requirements
- Active ARRT Certification in Radiology and ARRT Certification in MRI
- IEMA licensure (Illinois) required
- CPR certification
- Associate degree in Radiology or an equivalent certification
- 1 year of technical experience preferred
- Ability to work in a hospital setting and to cover a weekend midnight shift
