Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to residents in a long-term care setting, including routine monitoring and assessment.
- Administer prescribed medications and document administration accurately in the medical record.
- Monitor residents for changes in condition, report findings to supervising registered nurse, and respond to orders from physicians.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living and deliver person-centered care to maintain function and dignity.
- Document assessments, care plans, progress notes, and any changes in health status; collaborate with the care team to adjust plans as needed.
- Adhere to infection control practices, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements; maintain a clean, safe, and compliant care environment.
Requirements
- Current Licensed Practical Nurse license in good standing (state guidance may align with location; NM preferred)
- Ability to work a 3x12-hour night shift on a 15-week travel contract
- Willingness to participate in pre-employment checks and comply with employer and regulatory requirements
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents, families, and the health care team
- Flexibility to work in a long-term care setting and follow established policies and procedures
