Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Travel assignment
Location: Mammoth Lakes, California, United States
Start date: 10/05/2026
Duration: 13 weeks
Weekly pay: $2,191–$2,371 per week
Guaranteed hours: 36 hours per week
Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.), 3x per week; holidays and weekends may apply; call coverage required (one call shift per week, 7:30 p.m.–7:00 a.m., scheduled immediately after the shift)
Setting: Hospital-based operating room with orthopedic, general, and ENT cases; travel assignment
Housing: Dorm-style housing available (depending on availability), near the workplace, with two apartment styles (one-bedroom and studio), fully furnished, private kitchen and bathroom, wifi, cable, and on-site amenities

Responsibilities
- Initiate and implement a patient-centered plan of care for surgical patients, based on nursing diagnoses and standards of care in the OR
- Maintain a sterile field, anticipate equipment and supply needs, and assist with positioning and instrument handling during procedures
- Monitor and document patient status, vital signs, and anesthesia-related information; communicate changes to the surgical team
- Collaborate with anesthesia, surgeons, and ancillary staff to ensure patient safety, asepsis, and efficient case flow
- Reassess patient status intra- and post-operatively, adjust the plan of care as needed, and participate in handoffs to PACU/stern teams

Requirements
- License: State of California Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Certifications: American Heart Association BLS required; ACLS required
- Experience: Minimum of two years of operating room experience
- Preferred: Cerner electronic health record experience; CNOR certification preferred
- Skills: Ability to work effectively with patients, peers, physicians, and ancillary departments; strong attention to detail and teamwork; comfortable with orthopedics (Arthrex, Depuy, Synthes), general, and ENT procedures
