Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive respiratory care to adult inpatients, adults in ICU, and general pediatric patients; no NICU/PICU required
- Manage and monitor mechanical ventilation, airway clearance, and approved therapies per physician orders
- Conduct patient assessments, adjust treatment plans as appropriate, and document findings in the EMR
- Participate in rounds with the interdisciplinary team and collaborate with nurses, physicians, and therapists
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of respiratory equipment; uphold infection control standards and medication administration protocols
- Support scheduling flexibility, including weekends as needed, with no on-call requirements
Requirements
- Active Respiratory Therapist license with RRT credential; CRT not accepted
- AHA BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications; NBRC verification; NRP certification
- Minimum 1 year of inpatient respiratory therapy experience; prior travel experience preferred
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years
- Teaching hospital experience preferred; adult ICU and general pediatric exposure; no NICU/PICU requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced inpatient setting with schedule flexibility; reliable transportation is required
