Responsibilities
- Deliver coordinated nursing care for an individual patient or assigned group, following established standards of care and the nursing process.
- Monitor telemetry data, interpret cardiac rhythms, respond to alarms, and escalate issues as needed.
- Supervise and direct activities of various levels of nursing staff; coordinate care with other disciplines.
- Administer medications and treatments per orders; document care accurately in patient records.
- Collaborate with physicians and the care team; provide education to patients and families; assist with discharge planning as appropriate.
Requirements
- Current, active RN license in California
- Ability to work nights and 12-hour shifts (3x12 schedule)
- Familiarity with telemetry monitoring and basic cardiovascular assessment
- Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
- Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
