- Position patients and apply immobilization devices to ensure accurate, reproducible treatment delivery.
- Operate treatment delivery equipment and perform routine quality assurance checks in accordance with protocol.
- Monitor patients during treatment, observe for adverse effects, and communicate changes to the radiation oncologist.
- Document treatment delivery, patient response, and any deviations in the medical record.
- Collaborate with the radiation oncology team, including physicians, dosimetrists, and nursing staff, to ensure safe, effective care.
Requirements
- Current, active licensure or certification as a Radiation Therapist in the applicable jurisdiction (as required by the employer).
- Certification in radiation therapy (e.g., ARRT RT) or equivalent per standard practice.
- Ability to work 40 hours per week in a hospital setting, with a daytime shift schedule.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills to coordinate with multidisciplinary care teams.
- Eligibility to work in the United States and willingness to participate in a travel assignment.
