Travel Registered Nurse L&D Job
Registered Nurse – Labor and Delivery in Cambridge, Massachusetts. This travel-temporary assignment begins June 23, 2026 for a 13-week contract with guaranteed hours. Weekly pay ranges from $2,922 to $3,085, based on a 36-hour work week. Shift is 12-hour nights (7:00 pm–7:00 am) with no block scheduling, and the assignment requires coverage every other weekend and every other major holiday. The role is on a Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting. Local candidates within 50 miles are welcome at a reduced local rate. Responsibilities
- Provide direct patient care to obstetric patients on the Labor and Delivery unit, including labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum needs
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, perform routine assessments, administer medications, and respond to obstetric emergencies
- Collaborate with the perinatal care team (nurses, physicians, and ancillary staff) to coordinate care and ensure patient safety
- Document care and events accurately in the Epic EMR and maintain thorough, compliant records
- Support families with education and discharge planning; participate in shift handoffs and unit leadership activities as needed
Requirements
- Licensure: Active Massachusetts RN license; NURSYS verification showing all licenses (past and present) pulled within the last week
- Experience: Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience; travel experience preferred; first-time travelers will not be considered
- Certifications: Current AHA BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required at time of submission
- Vaccination: Seasonal flu vaccine required
- Specifics: Must be willing to work every other weekend and every other major holiday; no on-call
- Documentation: Up-to-date resume with 2+ years in L&D, 2 recent L&D Charge RN/Manager/Supervisor references, skills checklist matching specialty; driver’s license with address matching demographics
- EMR: Epic EMR experience preferred
