Responsibilities
- Provide direct, compassionate nursing care to adult inpatients on a telemetry-enabled medical-surgical unit, including monitoring, documentation, and coordination of care
- Interpret cardiac telemetry, monitor vitals, respond to rhythm changes and alarms, and administer medications and IV therapies per physician orders
- Collaborate with physicians, case managers, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team to develop and adjust patient care plans and discharge planning
- Document thoroughly in the EPIC EMR, ensuring accuracy, privacy, and compliance with regulatory standards
- Support geriatric and multisystem patients with delirium prevention, respiratory and renal considerations, nutrition, mobility, and safety measures
- Maintain high standards of infection control, patient safety, and quality of care; may float to similar med-surg floors as needed

Requirements
- Active RN license in Vermont or eligibility to obtain licensure
- Minimum 2 years Med Surg Telemetry experience; large teaching facility experience preferred
- EPIC EMR experience within the past 12 months
- Certifications: NIH Stroke Scale, BLS, ACLS required; NIHSS certification required prior to start
- Ability to work 12-hour night shifts; travel assignment with reliable transportation; patience for a 13-week assignment with possible changes in schedule
