Travel Occupational Therapist Job
Occupational Therapist — Occupational Therapy, Alturas, CA, US. Start date 07/15/2026 for a 13-week travel assignment with weekly pay between $2,862 and $3,095. No guaranteed hours. Shift: 5x8 Days. This position occurs in a hospital setting focused on inpatient rehabilitation and requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to support patient function and recovery.

Responsibilities
- Direct and supervise occupational therapy services under supervision of the department leadership; coordinate department operations and ensure therapy services align with prescribed plans.
- Assess patients, develop and implement OT plans of care, and reassess to adjust goals for adult and geriatric populations as appropriate.
- Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, and other therapists to coordinate comprehensive patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Maintain accurate documentation of evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge planning in patient records; ensure timely coding and billing entries.
- Ensure department compliance with state, federal, and local regulations; participate in CQI and performance improvement activities; support budget monitoring related to department activities.
- Ensure safe operation and maintenance of equipment; uphold infection control, safety, and department cleanliness; participate in staff training and competency validation.
Requirements
- Current California licensure or certification as a physical therapist (as noted in the job documentation)
- Current Basic Life Support (BCLS) certification
- Three (3) or more years of previous experience in physical therapy preferred
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team
- Strong written and verbal communication skills; proficient in coordinating care and documenting care plans
